SPECIFICATION
This item shall consist of a Tray Make-Up Bandveyor
which shall convey trays onto an unload check station. It
shall be of size and shape as shown on plans and shall
convey trays at a variable speed.
Conveyor shall carry both N.S.F. and U.L. labels showing
that it is listed with both those societies as having complied
with their standards.
Conveyor shall be MODEL #BV-1 1, fabricated and installed
by GREITZER, INC., Riverdale, New Jersey and
Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
Conveyor belt pan shall be formed of #14 gauge stainless
steel. Sides of the belt pan shall be turned up 3" and
finished with a rolled edge.
Conveyor shall be supported on stainless steel tubing,
having bullet-type adjustable feet. Horizontal, stainless
steel tubing shall be connected with stainless steel bolts to
3/16" x 3" stainless steel intermediate supports.
As shown on the plan, the conveyor shall have as an
integral section a full-length electrical utility distribution
center to supply the electrical outlets for support equipment
as required.
Drive motors shall be 112 H.P., gearhead type; fully
enclosed and water-tight.
Provide a NEMA 4 watertight "start-stop" control and
mount on front, provide momentary startlstop foot operated
delay at unload end.
Conveyor master control panel to be a NEMA 12 panel
flush mounted onto the drive enclosure. This control
panel shall have an exposed disconnect switch and overload
reset key control. Other components, including
overload and under-voltage protection, motor starter,
and control relay shall be located within the control
panel; all pre-wired to a terminal strip. Wires are all to
be numbered for easy trouble-shooting and final connection
in the field. All interconnecting wiring shall be run
in watertight flexible conduit.
Drive housing shall be made with stainless steel, square
tubular framing having welded joints. Exterior of housing
shall be of #16 gauge stainless steel with flush
welded seams. Front of housing shall be provided with
stainless steel hinged doors with magnetic latches. Drive
housing to be mounted on 6" high adjustable stainless
steel flanged feet, for securing to floor.
All pulleys and shafting to be solid stainless steel. Bearings
shall be precision sealed-for-life type with grease
fittings and copper tubular extensions to convenient
point, for future lubrication.

This item shall consist of a Tray Deposit Bandveyor which shall convey trays onto skate-wheelsover the scrapping trough. It shall be of size and shape as shown on plans and shall convey trays at a speed of 35 F.P.M.
Conveyor shall carry both N.S.F. and U.L. labels showing that it is listed with both those societies as having complied with their standards.
Conveyor shall be MODEL #BV-I I. fabricated and installed by GREITZER
Conveyor shall utilize Greitzer Model SVG belting fabricated with IQ"
Polyester Reinforced Urethane. Belting shall return in exposed and
recessed center belt trough as shown on drawing.
Conveyor belt pan shall be formed of #I4 gauge stainless steel. At any
point that the sides of the belt pan abut the wall, it shall be turned up 10"
and sloped back 3" to wall, and turned down 1" and formed into channel
nosing. Insideawallthe panshall beturnedup3"andfinished witharolled
edge.
Conveyor shall be supportedon stainless steel tubing, having bullet-type
adjustable feet Horizontal, stainlesssteel tubing shall be connected with
stainless steel bolts to 3/16" x 3" stainless steel intermediate supports.
As shown onplan,this conveyorshall start at atray drop-off window with
an integral frame constructed of# 14 gauge stainless steel. Window frame
shall have 2" wide flanges returned 1R" to masonry. All seams of frame
shall be welded and polished. As indicated in section drawing, the #I4
gauge stainless steel conveyor top surface shall be 2" below the pass
window elevation. The front edge of the pass window ledge shall turn
down 2-314" and back to the masonry In".
