Specification

Conveyor shall be Greitzer Enterprises Model RWG-2 Bussing Conveyor. It shall utilize parallel belts, each 7%" wide, of plastic slats joined by stainless steel pins at fixed speed of 28 feet per minute. (vari-speed feature optional.) Conveyor to carry label indicating it is listed with Underwriters Laboratories as having complied with standards of that organization. Size shall be as shown on plan.

Belt pan shall be of width to accommodate 20" x 20 racks. Free edges turned up 3" and rolled. Against dishwashing machine edge shall be turned up 10" and sloped backward 2". All interior corners to be coved, and all seams to be welded and polished. Supports shall be stainless steel tubing with welded tubular cross-members and with stainless steel adjustable feet.

Exposed faces of conveyor to be furnished with # 18 ga. stainless steel skirting made in sections to be easily removable without use of tools.

Electrical service requirements shall be as shown on plans, 20 amp, 120/208/60Hz, 3-phase, 5 wire.

Drive motors shall be 314 H.P., gearhead type;fully enclosed and watertight.

Provide a NEMA 4 watertight "start-stop" control and mount on front of scrapping trough.

Conveyor master control panel shall be a NEMA 12 panel, flush mounted onto the drive enclosure.This control panel shall have an exposed disconnect switch and overload reset controls.

Other comlsonents. includina overload and undervoltane protection, hotor starter and coitrol relay, shall be located within the control panel, all prewired to a terminal strip. Wires shall be numbered for easy trouble shooting and final connection in the field. All interconnecting wiring shall be run in watertight flexible conduit.

Drive housing shall be #I6 ga. stainless steel with flush welded seams. Front to have one pair of hinged double-pan doors on concealed hinges with magnetic catches and recessed stainless steel pulls. Drive housing shall be framed with square stainless steel tubing with welded joints. Mount housing on 6" high 7 adjustable flanged stainless steel feet.

Wash apparatus shall be located within drive enclosure and include #I4 ga. stainless steel wash tank with upper and lower sprays to wash both sides of belts simultaneously. Provide perforated, removable cleanout trays below sprays and a solenoid to stop wash action when conveyor is not in operation. Furnish water mixing valves and control valves.

Provide #I 8 ga. stainless steel drainer pan under entire length of return run of conveyor belts. Drainer pan shall be pitched to drain into wash tank. All sprockets and shafting to be solid stainless steel. Bearings shall be precision sealed-for-life type with grease fittings and copper tubular extensions brought to a central point, for future lubrication. Belts shall return on underside of belt pan on 2" diameter nylon idlers set on stainless steel ball-bearings.

Options:

  1. Vari-speed control can be supplied to give belt speed of 10-30 fpm
  2. Detergent injection in wash operation, with clock control.
  3. Conveyor can be made portable with ball-bearing swivel casters and flexible connections to wash and a cord and plug.
