With 7 important advantages over the present Delrin conveyor construction
1) Old Delrin belts required an open slot along the center of the conveyor belt pan. This condition permitted waste and slop to fall through the belt pan. Asloped drainer trough the full length of the conveyor was necessary to keep this waste and slop from falling on the floor. Although the kitchen help was supposed to regularly wash down this trough, this was very rarely done, since access to the trough was had by removing an apron.
As a result these troughs became filthy, with an accompanying odor.
2) The former type of conveyor pan construction, with the open slot down the length of the pan, required special, expensive bracing. This will no longer be required with the simple construction used by the new type Delrin belt. In addition, the continuous, sloped drainer trough under the belt pan that formerly was necessary, is no longer needed.
3) The new type of Delrin belting actually gives sanitation and an improved method of construction at no additional cost.
4) The new type of Delrin belting is stronger, heavier, with less chance for breaking. Slats are easily removable by use of special stainless steel pins.
