Conveyor shall be Greitzer Corp Model RWG Tray Conveyor to convey ___x___ trays from Dining Area to Dishwashing Room at fixed speed of 40 feet per minute. (Vari-speed feature optional.) Conveyor shall carry label indicating it is listed with Underwriters Laboratories as having complied with standards of that organization.
BELT. Shall be 10" wide, formed of Celcon slats joined by stainless steel pins in 51/2" wide knuckles between slats. Slats to be easily replaceable.
BELT PAN. Shall be formed of #14 ga. stainless steel. Edges against walls turned up 10", sloped backwards 2" to wall, and turned down 1 ". Free edges turned up 3" and finished with channel nosing. Where belt pan joins soiled dish table, slope belt pan down 3/4" to same and make integral with dish table. Provide hinged #14 ga. stainless steel cover over opening in belt pan where belt emerges onto surface of belt pan. All interior corners of belt pan shall be coved, and all seams shall be welded and polished.
SUPPORTS. Shall be stainless steel tubing with welded tubular cross-members and stainless steel adjustable bullet feet.
SKIRTING. Exposed face of conveyor shall be furnished with skirting of #18 ga. steel, made in sections to be easily removable without use of tools; each section made-with channel edging. Joints between sections shall be hair line.
DRIVE ASSEMBLY. Conveyor shall be driven by -H.P., -volt, -phase totally enclosed gearhead motor. Watertight start-stop control shall be located on skirting of conveyor, in convenient location. Furnish NEMA 12 control panel recessed into drive enclosure.to be flush with surface of same. Control panel shall contain magnetic starter; short circuit, overload and undervoltage protection; and control circuit transformer to provide control circuit voltage. Control panel components shall be wired to terminal strip for final connection by outside electrician. Provide removable flush cover with exposed emergency disconnect switch and re-set key control. All interconnecting wiring shall be run in watertight conduit. Limit switch at terminus of conveyor shall be timed or instantaneous for use as "silver switch" as required.
DRIVE HOUSING. Shall be #16 ga. stainless steel with flush welded seams. Front shall have two half-size hinged, double-pan doors on concealed hinges with magnetic catches and recessed stainless steel pulls. [)rive housing shall be framed with square stainless steel tubing with welded joints. Mount housing on 6" high adjustable flanged stainless steel feet.
WASH APPARATUS. Shall be located within drive enclosure and shall include #14 ga. stainless steel wash tank with upper and lower sprays to wash both sides of belt simultaneously. Provide perforated, removable cleanout trays below sprays. Furnish solenoid to stop wash action when conveyor is not in operation. Provide water mixing valves and control valves for water.
DRAINER PAN. Shall run continuously under entire length of conveyor below belt return. Drainer pan shall be formed of #18 ga. stainless steel and pitched as shown on plan.
GENERAL. All sprockets and shafting shall be solid stainless steel. Bearings shall be precision type, sealed- for-life, with grease fittings and copper tubular exten- sions to central point, for future lubrication. Belt shall return on 2" diameter nylon idlers set on stainless steel ball-bearings.
OPTIONS
- Vari-speed control. Drive motor can be supplied with electronic control that will enable belt speed to be varied from 0-60 f.p.m.
- Automatic Tray Drop-Off. May be powered, with stainless steel rollers and cantilevered stainless steel positioner for portable tray carts. One control will shut off conveyor if portable tray cart is not in proper position to receive trays off conveyor; other control will shut off conveyor when portable tray cart is fully loaded. Non-powered; with sloped skate-wheel roller tray drop-off. Cart guides and controls shall be same as for powered tray drop-off.
- Detergent Wash. Provide detergent injection feature into wash operation, with Tork electric clock control for adjusting detergent injection cycle. Drive enclosure shall be made larger,to contain detergent container.
- Decorative Skirting. May be 15" high or full height, made of 3/4" waterproof plywood having veneer on all surfaces and edges of phenolic resin of color and design as selected by Architects. Skirting shall be made in panels with hair-line joints between panels, and easily removable without use of tools.
- Trim for Wall Openings. Provide #14 ga. stainless steel trim at opening in wall between ..area and .. Trim shall be made with 2" wide flanges on both sides of masonry wall, returned 1/2", w,ith corners filled and all seams welded and polished.
- Wall supports. In Dining Area, conveyor may be supported on formed brackets of #12 ga. stainless steel secured to wall by stainiess steel screws set into lead expansion shields.
- Fire Door. At opening in wall between Dining Area and Dishwashing Room. Made with framing of #14 ga. stainle.ss steel and with insulated stainless steel slide-up door having concealed counterweights and fusible link which will cause door to drop and close the opening in case of fire. Door shall carry UL 1 1/2 hour 'B' rating.
