G.E.M.S. Model TD-812
The Greitzer GEMS Model TD-812 is designed to prevent excessive demands of kitchen start up, and to reduce kilowatt hours consumed by allowing the operator to automatically stagger start-up times as well as to turn equipment off when it is not needed. Should the demand exceed a pre-determined kilowatt load, selected items will be automatically turned off for a variable period and turned back on when the demand peak subsides or a maximum off-time or outside limit temperature is reached.
Energy used to be cheap. Today the prices for everything are going up. Energy costs are rising faster than most other costs. The Greitzer GEMS Model TD-812 will save you money on your energy costs.
Years ago kitchens were designed with little or no thought of saving energy. Today with energy costs taking a larger slice of operating costs no designer can plan a kitchen without taking into consideration how energy costs will affect the efficiency and cost of running the kitchen he is planning and the building in which it is located.
The Greitzer GEMS Model TD-812 is designed for Restaurants, Fast Food Operations, Institutional Kitchens and other small commercial buildings where both demand and time of day controls are needed.
The Greitzer GEMS Model TD-812 is capable of handling up to twelve discrete circuits on the demand function and up to eight circuits on the time of day function. (More than one item may be controlled by one circuit). The GEMS Model TD-812 may be used within a Greitzer, Inc. Power-Pak or installed separately.
The Greitzer GEMS Model TD-812 is designed to prevent excessive demands of kitchen start-up and to reduce kilowatt hours consumed by allowing the operator to automatically stagger start-up times as well as to turn off equipment when it is not needed. However, should the demand exceed a pre-determined kilowatt load, the Model TD-812 will automatically start shedding (turning off) items which the operator has determined will least affect his operation. When the demand peak subsides, the maximum off time has been reached, or a pre-determined outside limit temperature is reached, the shed equipment will be automatically turned on.
Typical loads to be controlled by the Greitzer GEMS Model TD-812 Time of Day Control include such items as HVAC systems, hot water heaters, ovens, fryers, grills, exhaust fans, lights, dishwashers, etc. Typical loads to be controlled by the Model TD-812 demand load control include such items as hot water heaters, HVAC systems, walk in freezers, walk-in refrigerators, non-critical lights, heat lamps, steam tables, dishwashers, etc.
Using a Greitzer Energy Management System Makes Good Business Sense:
It is a generally accepted business principal that if you are a giant corporation, a capital expenditure should pay for itself in approximately five years to warrant the expenditure.
If you are a medium-size or small organization, this type of capital expenditure should pay for itself in 2-3 years, to warrant the expenditure.
But when an expenditure pays for itself within one to two years, as most Greitzer energy management systems do, you are actually losing money by not having the equipment.
