Mini-Pak Power-Pak
Features:
- Quality cpntrol means fewer problems at the jobsite
- UL and CSA listed.
- Individually tested to assure trouble free product.
- Less downtime when changing individual pieces of equipment.
- Allows for easier and faster cleaning.
- Complete safety assured while working on equipment.
Some of the advantages of using Greitzer MINI-PAKS rather than the obsolete system of individual electrical and mechanical stubs are as follows:
- Greitzer MINI-PAKS are made in the controlled environment of a factory under the constant supervision of our inspectors, management and quality control. This assures the customer of fewer problems arising in the field from careless and faulty work by jobsite mechanical trades.
- Each MINI-PAK is Underwriters Laboratories listed as having met or exceeded the standards of that organization. (All MINI-PAKS sold in Canada are C.S.A. listed.) This assures the customer that he is purchasing the best product money can buy.
- Each MINI-PAK electrical and mechanical component is individually tested before leaving our factory to assure the customer he will be receiving a trouble free product.
- MINI-PAK construction enables you to change
equipment in minutes.
- Utility bills can be reduced by including a Greitzer Broadcast Energy Management System (GEMS) to the MINI-PAK. GEMS will turn off equipment when it is not needed making careless energy consumption impossible. GEMS will also shed, cycle and roll loads to reduce peak demand when all equipment on the system is needed at the same time.
Greitzer Broadcast Energy Management Systems enable you to control several remotely located MINI- PAKS without hard wiring between the Greitzer Energy Management System and the MINI-PAKS.
- With permanent stub construction it is virtually im- possible to clean under equipment and around stubs. MINI-PAK construction utilizes proximity breakers with all receptacles. By first tripping the breaker all arcing is eliminated when disconnecting the plug from the receptacle. A MINI-PAK system allows equipment to be mounted on casters for safe and easy removal and convenience of cleaning.
- The quick disconnect feature of MINI-PAK permits easy maintenance and repair of machinery by making removal or replacement simple.
- With a MINI-PAK system the repair mechanic can be assured he is working in complete safety after he trips the proximity breaker or separates the plug from the receptacle since no one can re-energize the equipment from a remote location.
- MINI-PAKS are provided with Equipment Status Indicator lights which let management know at a glance the operational status of all equipment connected to the MINI-PAK.
- MINI-PAKS adapt simply to numerous electric and electronic controls such as ground fault circuit interrupters, ground fault sensing and relaying devices, broadcast energy management systems, electronic timers, motor controls, etc.
SPECIFICATIONS
Provide one Greitzer U.L. listed MINI-PAK with matching cord and plug set. Each cord and plug set shall have an individual U.L. listing. MINI-PAK shall consist of an electrical distribution assembly constructed of #16 stainless steel of size and shape as shown on plans. Seams shall be flush welded and polished.
MINI-PAK shall be completely prewired and fabricated foreasy access to interior components. Each receptacle shall be of standard NEMA configuration and provided with a spring-hinged weatherproof protective cover. Each receptacle shall be positively grounded to both the face plate and main body of the MINI-PAK. Circuit breakers shall be of the all molded case type with no external pins. Breaker shunt trip mechanisms shall be internal. The high voltage shunt trips shall not use extra pole thereby making the breaker assembly more compact and trouble free. Each circuit breaker shall be provided with a spring-hinged weatherproof protective cover.
Circuit breakers shall have 10,000 ampere interrupting capacity. Each receptacle shall have an engraved gravoply label giving voltage, amperage, phase, item number, and description of equipment connected to the receptacle. Ground fault shall be supplied in accordance with the National Electric Godewith all 120 volt and 240 volt single phase receptacles up to and including 30 amperes protected by ground fault circuit interrupters.
Cord and plug assemblies shall be rated to suit equipment being supplied. Cords shall be supplied with galvanized steel strain relief grips on both ends.
Upon request of specifier, manufacturer must submit a copy of the U.L. test report and U.L. listing card forthe MINI-PAK and Cord and Plug Sets. Manufacturer shall also make available samples of cord sets, breaker and receptacle combinations, operating samples, drawings and diagrams of component accessories for evaluation and approval to show manufacturer can meet the standards of the specifier. Information and samples shall be made available for evaluation and approval prior to equipment contractor preparing his submittal.
Shop drawings containing details of construction and information relative to electrical assemblies shall be furnished to the local building department for their approval prior to manufacture.
A representative of Greitzer, Inc. shall be present at the jobsite during the period of installation of the MINI-PAK equipment to instruct the various trades in the proper installation of theirwork in relation to the MINI-PAK unit.
